El Montaplatos
The Dumb Waiter, by Harold Pinter — premiered June 2025, Club de Teatro, Tandil
The play
Two men wait for instructions in a basement. Through dialogue heavy with silences, tension and absurdity, the everyday becomes unsettling.
The Dumb Waiter is a play where workplace routine turns into mystery, and the human is laid bare at its rawest and most vulnerable. Written by Harold Pinter (Nobel Prize in Literature, 2005), it unfolds like a crime story to be deciphered — the clues lie not only in the characters’ lines but in the pauses, the objects, and the surprising situations that follow one another.
The production premiered at Club de Teatro (Tandil) and invites the audience into a universe of expectation and surprise.
